Supporting Government Against COVIC-19, SII Provides Food Aids And Medical Supplies

JAKARTA- In a short time, the COVID-19 Pandemic has affected all aspects of people’s lives in the country. The economic lowdown was particularly felt for the middle and lower class citizen. As a result, many of them have lost their source of income so that it is difficult to meet their basic daily needs.

At the same time, because of the numbers of COVID-19 patients continues to increases, health workers who are at the forefront of the fight against the pandemic are also overwhelmed because of the limited supply of medical supply and devices. For this reason, PT Semen Indonesia International helps to support the government through a program of distributing basic necessities and medical devices.

Isma Junida as the delegation from the company said that this aid is as a form of support and care of SII towards the pandemic. “we are providing assistances in response to the Covid pandemic. We think this quick response is important to do. At least SII is here to help all who affected by COVID-19, especially people in our work area”.

“the handover has been done symbolically to the heads of RT and RW in several areas we visited. We started providing this aids from May 10^th to 26^th”.

“by 26 May, Food aids has been provided in 4 cities, including Padang, Makassar, Bekasi and Ciputat. From the local RT and RW, it will distributed through their respective regional units so that it will reach the people who really need it.” Said isma.

Meanwhile, Medical assistances in the form of masks, gloves, PPE and others was handed over directly to the medical staff coordinator delegation at Rumah Sakit Darurat Wima Atlet, Kemayoran, Central Jakarta. “Overall, the total cost of aids that we have distributed from foods to medical equipmentsis is Rp.156.500.000.” Said Isma.
