Enrekang, May 22^nd, 2024 - PT Semen Indonesia International (SII) collaborates with Kodim 1419 Enrekang to provide financial assistance amounting to IDR 19.5 million to aid victims of natural disasters, floods, and landslides in Enrekang, South Sulawesi. The donation is provided with the aim of alleviating the suffering of those directly affected by natural disasters.

The assistance was handed over directly by SII representative, Mr. Ahyul, to Mr. Augustiar Adinegoro, the DANDIM 1419 Enrekang, who is also the chairman of the disaster task force. Mr Augustiar explained that the floods and landslides occurred due to heavy rain destabilizing the soil, combined with water from the mountains overwhelming the drainage system. The situation was further aggravated by the high intensity of rainfall in the Enrekang area. “The aid from SII will be provided to the affected individuals in the form of essential supplies. We extend our sincere appreciation to SII for their valuable assistance.” Said Mr Augustiar.

We aim to assist in mitigating the challenges faced by the victims of floods and landslides in Enrekang, and support them through the recovery process, understanding that this will require a considerable amount of time. It is our sincere hope that the situation in Enrekang will see improvement soon, allowing the community to progress towards a better quality of life.
