Collaborating With Yakesma West Sumatra, SII Provides Aid For Flood Victims In Nagari Sungai Pua, Agam Regency

PT Semen Indonesia International (SII), in partnership with the Yayasan Kesejahteraan Masyarakat Sumatra Barat (Yakesma West Sumatra), organized an aid program to assist flood victims in Nagari Sungai Pua, Agam Regency. The aid consisted of a cash donation amounting to Rp 19.8 million, aimed at alleviating the burdens and supporting the recovery process of the flood-affected communities.

This assistance was distributed as part of PT SII's commitment to carry out Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) programs, focusing on caring for communities in need. The collaboration with Yakesma West Sumatra as the implementing partner of the aid distribution was intended to ensure that the assistance reaches the right recipients and directly benefits the flood victims.

The distribution event was successfully held at the Yakesma Office on Wednesday, June 19, 2024. Present at the event were PT SII representatives Muhammad Irfan and Orizo Sarfandi from Yakesma Sumatra, alongside beneficiaries of the aid. During the event, representatives from PT SII and Yakesma West Sumatra expressed their hope that this aid would help restore the economic and social conditions of the flood-affected community in Nagari Sungai Pua.

Residents of Nagari Sungai Pua expressed their gratitude for the assistance provided by PT SII and Yakesma West Sumatra. They felt the positive impact of the care and solidarity shown during this challenging situation caused by the flood disaster. It is hoped that this collaboration can serve as an example for other collaborative efforts in assisting disaster-affected areas across Indonesia.
