Driving Global Market Expansion, SII And SIG Participate In INTERCEM Asia In Thailand

General Manager of Trading & Business Development at PT Semen Indonesia International (SII), Egy Wahyudi, along with SIG's SM of Regional Sales Export, Henzo Bernando, attended INTERCEM Asia 2025 at the Intercontinental Hotel, Bangkok, Thailand, from May 6 to 8, 2025. Participation in this global conference on cement production and trade is part of the company’s market expansion strategy and profit growth initiative.

INTERCEM (International Cement Conference) is an annual international conference focused on the cement industry. It offers networking opportunities that bring together buyers, exporters, traders, and raw material suppliers from various countries. INTERCEM serves as a platform for global cement industry leaders to meet, discuss, and showcase the latest innovations in cement and supporting raw materials.

This year, INTERCEM focuses on low-carbon cement trading, where participants can learn and exchange insights with expert practitioners about strategies for trading and adopting sustainable cement products. The forum also presents an opportunity to expand networks with producers, traders, and equipment/service providers from 30 countries.

Egy Wahyudi, General Manager of Trading & Business Development at SII, stated that thanks to their participation in the conference, SIG and SII have successfully secured new market opportunities for exports to Africa, Central America, and South America. “These opportunities are supported by the development of the Tuban Jetty and also have the potential to boost sales of both bulk and packaged cement,” he said.

Henzo Bernando, SM of Regional Sales Export at SIG, added that SIG’s active participation in international forums is expected to increase export sales volume and raise selling prices, thereby positively impacting the company’s profits.
