Commemorating Occupational Health And Safety Month: PT Semen Indonesia International Holds Heart Saver, First Aid, CPR, And AED Training

In celebration of Occupational Health and Safety (K3) Month, PT Semen Indonesia International organized Heart Saver, First Aid, CPR, and AED training for its employees on February 11, 2024, at Signature Lounge, The East, 18th Floor.

The training aimed to enhance employees’ understanding and skills in handling medical emergencies in the workplace. Through this program, employees were equipped with fundamental First Aid techniques, Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR), the use of an Automated External Defibrillator (AED), choking management, and injury handling techniques.

Director of Finance & Risk Management, R. Trisandi Hendrawa, emphasized the crucial role of CPR in saving lives anytime and anywhere. "By understanding and mastering proper CPR techniques, we can provide quick and effective first aid before medical professionals arrive, thereby increasing the chances of survival for the victim," he stated.

The training was conducted in collaboration with Summit Healthcare, an institution accredited by the Indonesian Ministry of Health and the American Heart Association (AHA). Following the training, employees underwent a CPR and AED proficiency test, after which they received an AHA e-certificate. This certificate serves as proof of their competency in handling medical emergencies and supports the company’s efforts in creating a safer and more responsive work environment.

This initiative is part of PT Semen Indonesia International’s commitment to fostering a strong Occupational Health and Safety culture, as well as raising awareness about the importance of workplace safety and health.
