SII's Clinker Exports To Taiwan Increase By 80 Percent In The First Semester Of 2024

PT Semen Indonesia International (SII) has reported a significant increase in clinker export volume to Taiwan during the first semester of 2024. According to the latest data, clinker exports to the Taiwanese market reached 564,000 MT, representing a growth of about 80 percent compared to the same period last year, when the volume was 314,000 MT.

This increase in exports reflects the growing demand from Taiwan's construction industry, which is increasingly reliant on clinker supplies from Indonesia. The country, with its strong and continually developing economy, is actively investing in infrastructure development. Additionally, SII's surge in clinker sales indicates the success of its expansion strategy in increasing market share and enhancing its competitive position in the Asia-Pacific region.

SII's President Director, Ridwansyah, stated that the rise in export volume to Taiwan is the result of hard work and collaboration among SIG, PT Semen Tonasa, and SII in providing high-quality products. "We are optimistic that this positive trend will continue and open up greater opportunities in the international market," he said on Thursday (August 8, 2024).

As is known, SII is the international arm of SIG, responsible for marketing building materials abroad. In addition to Taiwan, SII also exports clinker to several other countries, including China, Fiji, Australia, Benin, the Philippines, Malaysia, the Maldives, Bangladesh, and Hong Kong.
