SII Collects Humanitarian Blood On Company 8th Anniversary

On its 8th anniversary, PT Semen Indonesia International (SII) held a blood donation event at the Signature Lounge on the 18th floor of The East, Jakarta, on Friday (31/05/2024). Carried out in collaboration with the Indonesian Red Cross (PMI) DKI Jakarta, this event successfully collected 67 blood bags.

One of the donors, Gabby, hopes this humanitarian action can be held regularly, at least once a year. "Thank you to SII for arranging this event. We can make a difference by donating blood without travelling far," he said. Meanwhile, Shila from the blood donation committee mentioned that this is the first time such an event has been organized to celebrate the company's anniversary. Nevertheless, employees from SII and other companies located in The East responded very enthusiastically by becoming donors.

This event opened to the public and managed to attract 88 registrants. However, regrettably, despite the participants' unanimous enthusiasm, some could not donate blood due to their medical condition. "In the hope that these blood bags will be useful to save those in need, 67 blood bags were collected by the end of the event around noon,” Shila said. All donors received a gift package containing milk, healthy snacks from PMI, food, and souvenirs from SII.
