SII Realizes First Cement Export Shipment To Reunion Island Following CE Marking Certification

PT Semen Indonesia International (SII) strengthened SIG’s global market expansion efforts by realizing its first cement export shipment to Reunion Island on May 3, 2026. This shipment was carried out after Semen Padang’s Type I 52.5 N cement product officially obtained CE Marking (Conformité Européenne) certification, which is a key requirement for entering the European market and French territories.

According to R. Trisandi Hendrawan, Acting President Director, the initial shipment of 11,275 MT of cement represents the first phase of a total 31,500 MT planned for export to Reunion Island during the May–July 2026 period.

The realization of this export reflects SIG’s commitment to maintaining product quality standards in order to meet international requirements while enhancing competitiveness in the global market. With the acquisition of CE Marking certification, Semen Padang products now possess a stronger competitive advantage to penetrate export markets, particularly in the European region.

The market potential in Reunion Island is considered highly promising due to the increasing demand for construction materials driven by infrastructure development projects initiated by the French Government. This condition creates strategic opportunities for SII to strengthen its position as SIG’s trading arm in distributing high-quality cement products to international markets.

The success of this inaugural export shipment was also supported by the strong synergy among SII, Semen Padang, and SIG in ensuring supply continuity, product quality, and distribution chain efficiency.
