First Time, SII Exports Clinker Produced By SIG Tuban Plant To South Africa
Written by Admin@semenindonesiainternational.com . Publish On 27 January 2026PT Semen Indonesia International (SII) continues to expand its international market reach through the export of clinker to South Africa. The export activity was marked by a visit from Cemex International Trading LLC, represented by Rachel Qi, to SIG’s Tuban Plant, East Java, on Wednesday (January 14, 2026), to observe the loading process of the vessel Pacific Lotus, which carried 56,350 metric tons (MT) of clinker.
The clinker, which meets high-quality standards, was produced directly at SIG’s Tuban Plant. R. Trisandi Hendrawan, Acting President Director of SII, explained that this marks the company’s third clinker shipment to the African region. Previously, SII had exported clinker to Côte d’Ivoire (Ivory Coast) and Mozambique. “We hope that SIG’s products will continue to reach more markets across Africa,” he said.
This export activity is expected to serve as a starting point for increasing shipment volumes to the African continent, in line with SII’s vision to become the leading provider of building material solutions in the global market. In addition to Africa, SII has also signed clinker sales agreements with Taiwan and Réunion Island.
